10TH ANNUAL SNOWBIRD TOURNAMENT
9, 10, 11 FEBRUARY, 2010

MacDILL AIR FORCE BASE

The 10th Class of USNA 1954 Annual Snowbird Tournament will be held next February, 2010 at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida.
For the past three years it had been held at the Patrick Air Force Base under the most capable leadership of Dick Cherry. It is hoped that the move to MacDill will attract a few more players. Following are the current plans for the three day competition:

9 Feb - Two afternoon Tee Times - Practice Rounds for those who wish to do so

- Group Dinner at one of Tampa's fine restaurants, approximately 1830

10 Feb - Three afternoon Tee Times - First Round

- Group Dinner at one of Tampa's fine restasurants, approximately 1830

11 Feb - Three morning Tee Times - Second Round

- Group Lunch at MacDill's Bay Palms Golf Complex (813) 840-6904

- Presentation of the "Paddy" Trophy and Group Picture.

Current arramngements have been made with Bay Palms Golf Complex Tournament Director, Mr. Fred Dibella

Retired Military players can make arrangements to stay at the MacDill Inn (813) 828-4259 within thirty (30) days prior to February 9th.

Non-retired classmates can arrange to bunk with retired classmates as we did at PAFB or stay at local motels on Dale Mabry Avenue which is close to the base.

By mid January, I'll have lined up the two retaurants for our Group dinners and will have a list of local motels for non-retired classmates.
As I receive commitments to play from classmates, I will keep you all advised as to whom has signed up. Please state your USNA Company, and most importantly your golf handicap. If you do not have a USGA handicap, then state your average score.
