Jerry and Connie Mackey on the Great Wall

This is the standard "Great Wall of China" photo that comes with most any trip to the mainland.

Connie and I were invited to attend the wedding in Hong Kong of one of my former students at Georgia Tech. After going that far from Atlanta we went onto the mainland to see some of Beijing and Xi'an. The smog of Beijing beats anything I ever saw in Los Angeles, or anyplace else for that matter. The picture indicates the fog and drizzle that were present that day at the Great Wall.

The Terracotta Army buried near Xi'an sounds interesting and when seen it really is special!
