Death of a ClassMate - Kenneth Burns - 9th Co.

To "The Roadside Gang", as my father always referred to this group:

It is with great sadness that I let you know that our father, Major General Kenneth D. Burns ("Skip, to most), passed away yesterday afternoon from a long battle with COPD and leukemia.  He fought the good fight, as we all would expect, but ultimately passed away peacefully with his family by his side.  He will be missed!

I know that he loved posting to this group and enjoyed the many messages that passed between you.  For many, our inboxes will be lonely!  I hope that you will continue to share your thoughts with each other. 

I will post his obituary as soon as it is complete.  Please feel free to share any memories you have.  Our personal e-mail accounts are AliHeft@aol.com andPamAxell@aol.com.  Please include them in your post. 

I will also post the information regarding his services once they are arranged.

Thank you so much for being his friend.  He cherished his time with you!
