Death of A Classmate - William J. Hunter, 8th Co

I received the following from Mike McCaffree:

Hello Will,

It's my sad task to tell you I heard this evening from Lisa Hunter, Bill's wife, that Bill passed away at the nursing home in Virginia Beach where he has been for the past month or so. Bill has suffered several strokes in the past day. Lisa and her family were at Bill's bedside when he died.

Bill's wishes were to have his ashes scattered at sea, and Lisa did not mention plans for any memorial service at the Academy or elsewhere.

He was one of the really great guys I have known and a very fine naval officer. I know our classmates and Bill's many other friends will sorely miss him; I certainly will.
